About RAL
RAL is the European standard color matching system, originating in Germany in 1927. Unlike paint brands, RAL defines standardized color codes used globally across industries — architecture, automotive, industrial coatings, powder coating, and manufacturing. The RAL Classic collection contains 216 colors, each identified by a 4-digit code. The system also includes RAL Design System Plus (1,825 colors) and RAL Effect (490 colors including metallics).
